Translation work

The greatest achievement of the Bible Society since the end of World War II until the period of political change for freedom in 1990 is the completion of the work of the New Protestant Translation.
Trial paperbacks came out from 1951 onwards, and in 1975 the first complete New Translation became available. Soon after its publication the revision work too begun. On the 400th anniversary of the Károli Bible in 1990 the newly revised Protestant New Translation was produced. This is the text that is contained in every New Translation Bible edition ever since.
