Our tasks

In our Deed of Foundation we laid out that our main tasks are:

· translation work and carefully maintaining the text of the Hungarian Bible

· to publish and distribute Bibles,

· to publish books that help understand the Bible better

· to popularise the Bible in the Hungarian educational system and help its members

to get to know its message

· to help Hungarians living outside the borders of the mother country own a Bible

(which according to the general practices of the UBS means that in a given country

the national Bible Society helps Hungarians who live there to have a Bible.)

· to help minorities living in Hungary and those who speak a foreign language

to purchase a Bible in their own language

· to cooperate closely with the United Bible Societies

· to promote the cause of the Bible in the media
